Adele approached for the new James Bond theme song

Adele, the pop Brit singer, is reportedly keeping James Bond producers on hooks regarding whether she would voice the theme track for the new Bond film. The Someone Like You singer penned and sang the Skyfall theme tune for the last James Bond movie of the similar name. Recent reports suggest that the James Bond cast and crew including actor Daniel Craig are quite keen to get her for Bond’s 24th film.

An insider stated that the chiefs here have made their feelings known to the award winning Brit singer that they want her back for the next film. Daniel Craig has also made it quite clear that he loved Adele’s track and he wants her back for the Bond film. But Adele has not responded yet.

Skyfall was the very first James Bond theme to get awards at the Brit Awards, Golden Globes and Oscars. At present, Adele is working on her 3rd album. And, now he is collaborating with producers James Ford and Kid Harpoon.
A leading UK tabloid had reported that the album might get ready very soon than it was anticipated. Meanwhile, Rihanna and Adele have become the newest artists to score million selling tracks in United Kingdom.

‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Diamonds’ tracks are 144th and 145th songs to reach the sales milestone. This report comes just a week after Pharrell Williams received his 3rd UK million seller with his present chart topper tune Happy.

Adele to get an MBE

British singer Adele will be handed an MBE on Thursday at the Buckingham Palace. Earlier in June, she made it to the Queen’s Birthday Honors’ list for her services to the music industry. Now she will be handed the title Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

The twenty five year old singer, who hit the spotlight after her debut album called 19 in  the year 2008, has seen worldwide success after releasing her 2nd album called 21 in the year 2011. The album topped music charts in over thirty countries in the world and it was number two in the United Kingdom for twenty three weeks selling over 7 million copies.

After spending twenty four weeks, getting the top position in the United States, it was certified as diamond. Adele is also the very first woman in the history of Billboard Hot 100 t have 3 singles in top – ten as a lead artist.

Earlier in February, she also won an Oscar for ‘Skyfall’, her James Bond theme song, which she both produced and wrote.

Right now, the singer is busy preparing for festive season as she is all set to celebrate Christmas with her fiancé Simon Konecki and little son Alfred at their home in Brighton.

Adele’s smash hit album 21 has topped’s all time best selling albums. Her 2011 record has beaten the likes of Mumford & Sons, Susan Boyle to snatch the title. Susan Boyle’s debut album called I Dreamed A Dream is behind Adele in the 2nd spot, while original Broadway cast of Wicked and Stephen Schwartz are at number three position.
